Global Settings

Reference for all Settings Dialog tabs: General (display, sessions), Data Management (import/export, migrations), Contract Configuration, and Account Tooltip stats.

The Settings Dialog (gear icon in the top navigation) contains application-wide preferences that persist to your profile and sync across devices when signed in. This page documents the currently maintained settings tabs — deprecated tabs (Dashboard, Daily, Trade Log, Calendar, Analytics, Trade Details) are no longer in the Settings Dialog; configure those per-component via their gear icons instead.

⚙️ Access

Open Settings via the gear icon in the top navigation bar, or press Ctrl/Cmd + ,.

Trading Sessions+

Trading Sessions

Define custom trading sessions for session-based filtering, and, analytics grouping.

Managing Sessions

  • Add Session — Name, start time, end time (24-hour format, your local timezone).
  • Edit Session — Click pencil icon on a session row.
  • Delete Session — Click trash icon (with confirmation).
  • Add Default Sessions — One-click adds NY (09:30–16:00 ET), London (08:00–17:00 UK), Asia (20:00–04:00 JST) converted to your local time.

Note: Sessions are stored in your profile and sync across devices. They're used for the Session filter dimension, Analytics grouping, and chart session shading.

Note: Sessions can overlap — a trade falling in multiple sessions will be tagged with all matching sessions.

Data Management

Settings Import / Export+

Settings Import / Export

Backup and restore your entire preferences (column layouts, chip visibility, filter templates, chart templates, account groups, etc.) as a JSON file.

Export Settings

Advanced Data Operations (Use with Caution)+

Advanced Data Operations

⚠️ These operations modify data directly. Only use when directed by support or if you understand the implications.

OperationPurpose
Populate SymbolBackfills Symbol field on trades that have a Contract but no Symbol (legacy data).
Populate Group IDsRuns the group-creation algorithm on all trades without a GroupID. Creates round-trip groups (flat → position → flat).
Migrate Tags to GroupsCopies unique tags from trades to their parent groups (non-destructive — trade tags remain).
Recalculate Group AggregatesRecomputes P&L, fees, trade count, hold time, etc. for all groups from their member trades. Fixes stale group stats.
Danger Zone: Delete All Data+

Danger Zone: Delete All Data

Irreversibly deletes ALL your data from Supabase and localStorage.

Requires typing DELETE to confirm. Consider taking a backup first (Export Settings or full Database backup).

Contract Configuration

Contract Config Overview+

Contract Config Overview

Define futures contract specifications (multiplier, fee per contract) per Firm + Platform combination. Used for:

  • Auto-calculating fees on trade import and manual entry
  • P&L calculations (points → currency conversion)
  • Fee recalculation on existing trades

There are two layers:

  • System Defaults — Built-in defaults for common contracts (maintained by admins)
  • User Overrides — Your personal adjustments that take precedence over defaults
Managing Contract Configs+

Managing Contract Configs

Firm / Platform Selector

Choose a Firm+Platform combination from the dropdown. The table shows all symbols configured for that combination.

Add / Edit Row

  1. Click Add Row or click a row to edit.
  2. Enter Symbol (e.g., MNQ), Multiplier (e.g., 2), Fee Per Contract (e.g., 1.04).
  3. Save — your override is stored and used for future imports/calculations.

Delete Row

Click trash icon on a row. If you delete a user override, the system default applies. Admins can delete system defaults.

Import / Export CSV

  • Export — Downloads current table as CSV (symbol, multiplier, feePerContract)
  • Import — Upload CSV to bulk add/update rows. Rows matching system defaults exactly are skipped (no override needed).

Clear Overrides / Clear Defaults

  • Remove My Overrides — Deletes all your personal overrides for the selected Firm+Platform. System defaults apply afterward.
  • Delete Global Defaults (admin only) — Removes system defaults for the Firm+Platform. Users without overrides will get import errors for those symbols.
How Fees Are Applied+

How Fees Are Applied

  • On CSV import, fees are calculated as quantity × feePerContract per side (entry + exit).
  • If a contract has no config (no default, no override), fee imports as 0 and a warning shows.
  • Use Recalculate Fees (Trade Log context menu) to re-apply current config to selected trades.
  • Multiplier converts points to currency: PnL = (exitPrice - entryPrice) × multiplier × quantity (for longs).

Account Tooltip Stats

Account Tooltip Stats+

Account Tooltip Stats

Customize which statistics appear in the Account Tooltip (hover an account badge/row in Calendar, Trade Log, Analytics, etc.).

The tooltip uses a dual-list selector:

  • Available (left) — Stats not currently shown

Drag stats between lists or use the arrow buttons. Click Save to persist.
